1. Information We Collect
When you use Headshot AI, we collect:
- Photos you upload: Reference images used to generate your professional headshots
- Device identifier: A unique ID to manage your sessions and purchases
- Purchase information: Transaction data from Apple for in-app purchases
- Customization preferences: Your selected styles, colors, and settings
2. How We Use Your Information
- To generate personalized AI headshots based on your uploaded photos
- To process and verify in-app purchases
- To provide customer support
- To improve our AI generation quality
3. Face Data Collection and Use
Important: We do NOT retain your original face data (uploaded photos). Your uploaded photos are processed only for the immediate purpose of generating your headshot and are deleted immediately after processing.
What is Face Data: Face data refers to any photographs or images you upload that contain facial features, which our AI uses to generate professional headshots.
Face Data Retention:
- Original uploaded photos (face data) are NOT retained. Your uploaded photos containing facial features are immediately deleted from our servers after your headshot is generated.
- The processing time is typically under 60 seconds, during which your original images exist temporarily in server memory only.
- We do not store, archive, or retain your original uploaded face data beyond the immediate processing period.
- Generated headshots (the AI-created professional images) are stored for a maximum of 12 months from the date of creation, after which they are automatically deleted.
- You may delete your account and all associated data at any time through the app settings, which will immediately remove all your generated headshots.
Why This Retention Period:
- The brief processing period (under 60 seconds) for original photos is the minimum time technically required to analyze your facial features and generate a professional headshot.
- Generated headshots are retained for up to 12 months to allow you reasonable time to access and download your professional headshots for use in job applications, social profiles, and other purposes.
- After 12 months, generated headshots are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers.
- You may delete your account and all associated generated images at any time through the "Delete Account" option in the app settings.
Third-Party Processing:
- Your face data is shared with Google's Gemini AI service solely for the purpose of generating your headshot.
- Google Gemini API processes images in real-time and does not retain uploaded images after processing is complete.
- Per Google's API Terms of Service, user data submitted through the Gemini API is not used to train AI models and is not stored beyond the immediate processing request.
- Google may temporarily cache data for performance purposes for up to 30 days, but this cached data is automatically deleted and is not accessible or used for any other purpose.
- We do not share your face data with any other third parties.
4. Photo Processing & Storage
Your photos are:
- Processed using Google's Gemini AI for headshot generation
- Original uploads are temporarily stored in memory only during the generation process (typically under 60 seconds)
- Original uploads are automatically and permanently deleted immediately after generation is complete
- Generated headshots are stored for a maximum of 12 months, then automatically deleted
- Never shared with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes
- Never used for AI training purposes
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- HTTPS encryption for all data transfers
- Secure server infrastructure
- Limited data retention periods
- Access controls and monitoring
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Google Gemini AI: For image processing and generation (see Section 3 for face data handling details)
- Apple App Store: For purchase verification
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Delete your account: You can delete your account and all associated data directly within the app by going to Settings and selecting "Delete Account". This will immediately and permanently remove all your data including generated headshots.

- Opt out of non-essential data collection
8. Children's Privacy
Headshot AI is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page.
